Tecnotree to Supply Convergent Self-Care Solution for Major Operator in West Africa

Espoo, Finland –  Tecnotree has received a purchase order from a major telecommunications operator in West Africa to supply a convergent self-care solution. The solution will be used to boost customer self-care among a growing number of consumer, corporate and data-only – prepaid and post-paid – subscribers in fixed and mobile networks. The order is worth 1.7 MUSD and deliveries are expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The solution, based on Tecnotree AgilityTM Care, shall provide operator’s subscribers a rich customer experience with functionality to manage subscriptions thru an enhanced self-care tool. Besides bill viewing, the new interface will allow online bill payment, personalisation of services and products inside the subscription, and viewing and modification of personal details according to local regulatory requirements.

From operations point of view, the operator will greatly benefit from a smooth and secure single point of access to all customer information regardless of service. Savings can also be expected in a number of ways. For example, Tecnotree’s convergent solution can lower the maintenance and support costs due to reduced number of underlying support systems. Secondly, the operator can expect to increase their operational efficiency on one hand by having less calls and trouble tickets in its call centres, and on the other hand by reducing debt collection cycles with the introduction of online payment options.
