The graphical user interface allows easy greeting personalisation, leading to a greater number of messages being left in the mailboxes. As retrieval is automatic, end users listen to more messages than in traditional voicemail where retrieval is always user initiated. The addition of intuitive call return also means more voicemail usage and traffic for visual voicemail subscribers.
